“National identities do not exist.” Maybe I’m not understanding the distinctions (I’m not an academic) but I’m sure the Koreans and Japanese for starters, would disagree.
Japan and Korea would be exceptions that prove the rule, according to Clarissa’s formulation, I would think.
In which case I didn’t understand her position. Carry on then!
