National Identity vs. Cultural Differences

Here is my blog-friend Clarissa’s take. Oft-times I don’t know how to respond to her posts, which are so smart and personal and awake to argument.  I just love to read them.

“National identities do not exist.” Maybe I’m not understanding the distinctions (I’m not an academic) but I’m sure the Koreans and Japanese for starters, would disagree.

Japan and Korea would be exceptions that prove the rule, according to Clarissa’s formulation, I would think.
