Jennifer Finch, RIP

Such a powerful force in music and its community, which she fostered her whole life. Seeing her with her bandmates in L7 at a small club in Palo Alto in November 1994 was one of the most joyous nights of my life.

Finch is on the right, playing bass and moving marvellously.

I am stunned by every new example proving the dereliction of my city and province in the care and protection of its indigenous people. This case is particularly galling, a sickening farce.

The summer term

I’m teaching my “Mass Media & Society” course this summer at UCW. More than my other courses, this one needs to be updated from term to term, which happily requires I come up with some new activities and topic modules. Here’s hoping they’re all engaging and edifying!
